Ridma Samaranayake is an artist, concept-based fashion designer and an innovative pattern maker who explores forms, colours and textiles where she fuses concepts with techniques emphasizing experimentation as the focus of her journey. She is a first class fashion design graduate from the University of Northampton in the United Kingdom who has been working as a fashion designer in the industry for the last few years and she has showcased her work locally and internationally.
Her philosophy of design is to create elegant and artistic wearable pieces blending eastern and western influences. In all her work Ridma tries to make clear that fashion is an artistic expression and she intends to show that fashion can certainly add value to the world. By bringing shapes, colours, structures and materials together in a new manner she tries to suggest and realize optimal possibilities in fashion.
