A uniquely Sri Lankan brand, KOCA specializes in using modern versions of applications, and techniques such as eco-friendly personalised digital print, cutwork embroidery, laser cutting and appliqué with inspirations of art into their design.
The sister duo behind KOCA are Rusla Ablej Namiq and Najila Ablej Sharhan, who are both graduates in Fashion Design and have worked independently and collaboratively on runway collections, photo shoot collaborations and design projects from 2003 to date. With industry experience in fashion design and marketing in Paris and Hong Kong, coupled with meticulous attention to design detail, the sisters collaborated to create their own label, which was followed by their Colombo Fashion Week debut in 2012. They currently retail at The Design Collective in Colombo.
